At last.......somewhere with info on Powermax stuff
I'm not sure of my model number, but I have a separate Potterton boiler in downstairs in the kitchen, and the Pwermax thermal store in the upstairs airing cupboard.
The timer on the Thermal store broke a few years ago, but that's not a problem as we leave boiler on 24/7 and use digital room stat to control heating.
My problem is I believe the circulation pump in the Thermal store?
It sometimes is audible, sometimes fairly quiet, but sounds like a worn bearing in the pump with a droning sound. The Separate Central heating pump is fine.
Is it a big job to change this pump, as I am worried if might start to leak as well as maybe stop working altogether?
Advice appreciated,
John
