Hi new to all this so bear with me. every now and again my radiators warm up when the central heating is turned off. After a lot of research I have narrowed it down to the 3 way diverter valve.I have took all the covers of the boiler and can clearly see the valve and actuator. When ch is turned on and hw is off the peg on the actuator goes all the way forward if I turn CH off and hw on the peg very slowly moves back a few mm then stops. So the radiators keep warming up. If I leave it like this after about half hour the peg has come all the way back towards me so now its heating the water as it should and the radiators have cooled down. I am not sure but the cam in the actuator seems to come back quickly but the valve part is very very slow. I am not sure if it's the valve or actuator and can these parts be fixed or do they need replacing. So sorry about the long post but I thought it best to give as much info as possible. Many thanks

Heateam replaced my diverter valve still did it. About 6 months later stopped. I have a HE150 and my one and best favourite is "A01" lock out. Always happens when coldest possible weather. Made a huge mistake when I bought this boiler back in 2002 and did not fit an immersion coil. So now I cannot face another Winter when the boiler locks out on a Friday and Heateam cannot make it till mid the next week. Am getting a Megaflo and Potterton Megaflo boiler. I actually disagree with Mike about flues. My Corgi guy rang up Potterton technical and as my HE150 had a twin flue with a roof terminal we can use a twin flued boiler replace existing to the terminal and this is guaranteed to meet combustion regulations. My advice to ANYONE out there is save up your money and have a trouble free Winter...Get a new boiler

Hi I have the opposite problem, my hot water is very, very hot even with the hot water switched off. It gets hot when I turn on the heating.....
sounds like it may be actuator, any ideas
