Hi Mike
Yesterday my boiler failed to fire up automatically and having removed the top panel I pressed the thermostat reset button and it came back in to life.
The same thing happened this morning and again this evening based on the timer start times.
it's been running for a few hours now and I've put it on constant to see if it carries on working...
I see on your other pages it might be a relay above the reset switch (as there is no lock out or burner light on).
I am going to replace the boiler (having read your website!), however if this is a quick and cheap part to replace while I wait it would be a handy fix...
The relay (i think) has the following part no on it - 691-21242-240.
is this the right part and do you know where I could source one?
Thanks for any help

Jez,
yes the relay IS quick and cheap to replace. Have a Google for the (Powermax) part number "P759".

A hot water boiler is an enclosed container that allows heat to be transmitted into water till the time it becomes heated water. The hot water is then effectively utilized for transferring the heat to where it is needed. A hot water boiler is filled with water, unlike the steam boiler. <spam link renoved>

Our Range PowerMax 155 isn't firing up in CH mode. We only have HW. It's not locked out, though there is a very faint glow from the lockout light (but I think it's always done that). The themostat says it should be lit. The advance button makes the CH light switch on and off, but the CH doesn't start. If we run the HW then eventually the burner kicks in and the fans run etc at the top of the boiler.
Any advice...
Are there any heating technicians in the Burton on Trent area that know PowerMax?

I am working on a Powermax 155x fov. It refuses to fire unless I blow down the fan manifold pipe to the gas valve. After burning for a minute or so the flexible air inlet pipe starts to vibrate. Cash you please advise. I am a RGI.
