Hi,
When my central heating kicks in, the pressure my power max HE quickly builds up to 2.9 and 3.00 and the cuts out......how can I let some pressure out?

Drain some water from the system, then make sure the filling device is properly closed. the usual cause of this though, is a failed expansion vessel.

Boiler seems to be working ok but have noticed a damp patch on ceiling below boiler which has dried out but seems like it has come from airing cupboard where boiler is situated. It's a Potterton Powermax HE
