hi there,
i have a potterton powermax 135. recently the boiler broke down and the british gas guy came out under contract to maintain it. miraculously he found a burst plastic fitting on the twin flue. this flue was actually inspected a week previous by another one of their guys carrying out a landlord gas safety certificate and was given the all clear. so some incompetance somewhere or something fishy going on somewhere. it just so happens that the second guy who found the problem had a great solution to a massive new problem. a new boiler install at £4000 in replacement for an obsolete flue part which is worth about a fiver.
i have been hunting high and low for a spare or 2nd hand part and am having not much luck so far. just wondering if anyone may have a lead for me.
it is actually the plastic adapter that converts the twin flue into a single before it leaves the roof in the attic.
hopefully someone has a great answer for me,
thanks.

Sadly I think you are in for a new boiler. Flue components are no longer made for the Range Powermax, unless you can find a neighour having theirs removed and scavenge their old flue.
