I have a 155x with a flue running vertically to a ridge vent. There is a sloped section in the loft.
What are the rules for flue supports? The house is 12 years old and none are fitted. I am having the boiler serviced and do not want it At Risked, so need to do something about supports.
Thanks

Genuine Powermax flue supports are long obsolete, but it is acceptable to use that universal metal strapping with holes all along it about an inch apart, sold in builders' merchants. Just make sure the flue tube is no closer than 25mm to anything combustible.

thanks Mike. I was thinking of an exhaust clamp with some some of that strapping screwed onto a roof truss.

Sounds fine to me! Just need to be strong enough and made of metal.

I've just been informed that there is no boiler at all that can be connected to an the powermac flue system and tha any new boiler needs to be relocated from a hallway cupboard to either a lounge or bedroom ?!
Surely not?...
Concerned..
