Hi Mike, i attended a Powermax 140 sealed system today with no heating / hot water, took casing off & no overlimit stats had locked out. The fan is running i'm getting the 3 clicks for ignition but can't hear a spark from electrode. So i removed the electrode called for heat & there was sparking straight away, so i'm guessing it's a new HT lead. Now when i tried to put the spade connector back onto the relay / stat at the board end it just would not go back on, so i had to remove the relay / stat to see what the problem was, turns out the spade connector on the relay was damaged so bad it just would not go back on. So i've ordered a new HT lead and the new relay / stat ( which is now 2 different part nimbers to the original) both should arrive Monday 3ed March so i'm hoping it was faulty electrode lead ? Any suggestions most welcome. Thank you PS this is in Edinburgh so a reasonably soft water area

Bit late to be answering now but.... the ignition lead should be connected onto the ignition lead terminal on the control board. I'm puzzled by this "relay / stat" you mention. I don't know what this is.
