Hello! Following a number of power cuts and reconnections today we came home to find that our Powermax155x was no longer supplying heating to radiators. If we switch to continual hot water mode, the boiler fires up and provides hot water. The timer is still keeping time and retaining settings, but is no longer causing boiler ignition. The 2 red lights are noticeably fainter as if running on battery. Is it possible that the power outages could have caused damage to the timer unit? Is there a fuse or trip switch that controls power to the timer that could be reset? Or is it more likely that the timer/programmer unit will need replaced? Coincidentally our next door neighbour's identical boiler, which was also working fine this morning, suffered the same problem today! Our power supplier have shrugged their shoulders and said that since the power is back on, that's all they are concerned about and said that we have to fix it. Can the timer be replaced? Is the part still available? How much (ballpark) is it likely to cost?
Any help most welcome - feeling quite cold and don't really want an expensive callout for a 10 year old boiler!! Thanks!
