Hi !
I'm worried about my Potterton Powermax HE boiler ...
The pressure gauge shows up to 3.2 bar when hot flashes around 0.7 bar when cold. The other week it shut down unexpectedly - not sure if pressure must have been too high or too low. When it's not heating pressure is normal at about 1.5 bar.
I called round a plumber and he checked it over but found nothing wrong. He did however fill the expansion vessel up with some air - hand pump i think.
Is this range of pressure normal for the boiler?
Should he have filled the expansion vessel with Nitrogen - is air ok?
