I have a 185 model with a flue that goes straight up through the roof space and out. Every year when it's serviced by BGas an engineer affixes a sticker on the boiler to say defect, this boiler should not be used!
The reason being is the flue is not supported along it's vertical length.
I'm told I need to brace it with a bracket and make sure it is stabilized. When I ask if there are brackets to do this and where can I get them from, I'm told they are discontinued no longer available.
"It there an alternative OEM solution?" I'm then told you can provide support with a pipe loop, but as it's a non manufacturers specified part the gas engineer will still mark the boiler as none conforming and put a sticker on it. I can't win! unless anyone knows of a solution?
Thanks

the bracket itself doesn't have to be dedicated to this job, go to Wickes or B&Q and find anything that will hold it and fix it to the wall (it can't move by more than few mm when shaken by hand)
